Fourteen Trevor Square, London
Emptiness, from my latest essay on my website
Westminster Jubilee line station
You may have read in my post here that I had given myself a few locations to photograph in London. This was one of them, the deep-level Jubilee Line station of Westminster. What a beautiful station with an austere combination of concrete and stainless steel.
London on Film
I just started out shooting film recently, and this was the second and third roll I shot with the Canon AE-1. The rolls I used were Portra 400NC and a Portra 400.
The first roll was kind of a disaster so I was very curious how these would turn out. I didn’t have a lightmeter yet, so all of these were taken manually with the internal light meter. Turns out they all are just fine!
I really love shooting analog and this weekend in London made me decide to invest in a medium format film camera. This result is a big bonus!
When you get a Hasselblad you have to take a obligatory shot like this. What struck me most about this camera really is it’s gorgeous viewfinder. Wow.
